International Missions | Overview | Print Version |
One of the cornerstones of Hume's mission is to encourage young people to "Devote their lives in service to our Lord Jesus at home and abroad." With this mandate in mind, we are introducing a new series of camps - Hume International. With this program we are seeking to introduce you, your youth groups and local church to the body of Christ around the world.

Our goal is to bring American students across the globe to do what we do best - run camp!! We invite you to join us in ministering to those whose lives have been devastated by poverty, famine, civil war, and Aids.

  • Introducing local church youth to the work of God across the world.

  • Challenging local church youth to adopt foreign ministries through prayer, hard work and financial support.

  • Reminding local church youth that global ministries begin at home before they move abroad.

Camp Development

We seek to reproduce the ministry of Hume around the world. Success in Costa Rica has encouraged us to look for other opportunities around the globe to plant new camps. Trips in this series are focused on building projects, peer counseling and service.

TCK Camps

The term TCK (Third Culture Kids) refers to young people who live in a culture not identified by their passport. We use this term to identify students whose parents are missionaries, military personnel or business/government representatives.

Orphan Camps

Abandoned due to poverty, civil war and Aids, we are endeavoring to bring the good news of the Gospel and the joy of Christian fellowship to this segment of the youth population. As the adult population of many countries is being decimated, now is the time to raise the next generation of national leaders with Biblical morality and compassion.
